Nora {newborn portraits}

Now that our announcement has been mailed out to family and posted for friends I am happy to share Nora's newborn photos!

I was SO excited to get to take Eleanor's newborn portraits!

She was a mere 4 days old when I took these.

I didn't get this experience with any of the other kids because I didn't have my camera or photography knowledge then!

I've done newborn portraits for others

but this was my little bun that I got to capture!

You can't tell from these pictures.  But she was REALLY fussy.   It took a long time

to get all these pictures because I couldn't get her to just fall asleep deeply.  So I tried to move her as little as possible and just get different angles with the camera.

All in all, I feel like it was a successful endeavor.

I am planning more photo shoots as she grows so we'll get lots of practice in. haha

These first three are, hands down, my favorite from our little session.

Don't get me wrong,

I like them all 

(it was a nightmare trying to decide which ones would make the final cut to the announcement card)  But these three are the ones that met or exceeded my expectations.

While pregnant I thought a lot about props and posing

so there were definitely some specific desires I had for these pictures.
