Eleanor's Nursery

Before I show you the nursery, let's just take a moment and pay homage to
the brilliant person that invented this amazing thing.

behold:
the puj tub

Brilliant, right?  So small.  Folds in half.  Amazing.

Can't wait to dip my little darling in this sink tub contraption.
:o)

Also, a word of caution: there may or may not be WAY too many pictures.
It's probably not the wisest thing to let an indecisive 40 week pregnant woman write
a blog post about a nursery she has been working on for the past
nine months.

just saying.

You've been warned.

This book "Noisy Nora" was a book that I used to read when I was a kid
(this very copy!)
Lauren has plans to read it to Nora after she is born.
How appropriate.
:o)

I had a lot of fun in my second trimester making baby toys.
Dan thinks I went overboard.
I wish I could've made more but it got too uncomfortable sitting crouched in front of the sewing machine.
:o)

The theme of Nora's room began with an Aden & Anais swaddling blanket pattern that I just fell in love with.  It was mellow purples and grays with deer and acorn and forest-y woodland creatures all over it.
And that's basically the extent of the story behind the nursery.
I'm not a complicated thinker.  I see something I like and I copy it.
haha

I stenciled that wall.  Boy was that a pain.
never  doing  that  again

But I think it turned out so pretty!!

Most of what is in the nursery was either second hand, display model (aka: highly discounted), or things I already had around the house.
The rest of it is either hand made or from Etsy.
(boy...that site can get addicting if you have something specific you're searching for...)

Lauren painted that deer, Julia painted the black frame, and Lilly painted the "N" for Nora. :o)

A friend of mine made the custom artwork for above the crib!

Here's what it looks like:

Kayla made the little arrows for the wall.  All the girls got to make a little something for the nursery.

My sister crocheted this fox for Nora.  Isn't he cute?!

Look at all these cutie pie burp cloths!

And even our living room is ready and waiting for our little babe.
:o)

Diaper bag is all packed and the carseat is ready to go.  You can come whenever you'd like, little one!  We're waiting eagerly to meet you!
