Our Front Yard

Our front yard sees a lot of us in the Spring.  I love sitting on the front steps and letting the girls ride their bikes back and forth on the sidewalk and up the three driveways within the "not too far away" zone. :o)

We are re-doing some of our front landscaping (just some different plants.  Nothing too complicated.)

So I am also getting some cleaning up done out there. 

Who wouldn't want to be out in this beautiful weather?  And the splendid green of the grass is so welcoming

after all the white and brown of winter.  It's like a whole new world!!!

So out we went today.  Lilly was having a nap just in case you notice the absence and wonder if I lost a child.

.no need to fear.

Everyone is accounted for.

My friend, Erica, helped me plant some Peony bulbs (tubers?  not sure which they are) last spring and I am delighted to see they have survived!!!  I thought for sure they were dead!

There was a lot of exploring for bugs underneath the rocks...gross.  I love that they know I don't like bugs.  They are really good about not showing me all the time and not trying to give them to me.

bless those bug loving little hearts.

She felt super accomplished having pulled a stake out of the ground.

Can you believe these incredible smiles from Kayla??  I realized in the last batch at the park there were only a few of her.  It's tough to take pictures when someone gives you a less than thrilled expression.  Something clicked in her today and I love it!!!

I just love this little face.  Her freckles are starting to show up again!!  BAH!  So cute!

Man oh man these girls.  It is SO exciting seeing them grow up!!!
