Christmas Around the House

Yes.
This is our Christmas tree this year.
Dan got home from deployment so close to Christmas it wasn't worth the trouble to go get a tree.  And we really don't want to pay $300 for a fake tree we use once a year.  So the girls
crafted a beautiful tree for our presents to sit under. :o)

This was my little train that was especially for Christmas.
I have lots of memories of playing with this train every Christmas.

Our front door's winter wreath.  Half bought half made.
It would look so much cooler if our door was not white.  But I like it anyway.

Probably 60% of our Christmas decor is from Starbucks...
I like this little guy.  He's holding our iPods and phone chargers.  What a good helper he is.

He likes to make sure I don't burn things on the stove.

Christmas just wouldn't seem complete without our stockings...

Seven years of Christmas's together.  Love.

And have you heard?  I have an obsession with decorative balls.
Yep.  It's pretty serious.

Even though I enjoy all the decorating and fluff that Christmas brings, if it weren't for Christ's birth, I wouldn't even have hope, joy, peace, or any of the other typical "holiday" words that are tossed around during the Christmas season.  God's grace is generous and beyond amazing.

Merry Christmas!
Solo Deo Gloria!
